These are the years of growth and childhood development. The children learn to apply the skills they attain and are encouraged to be confident problem-solvers and good decision-makers.

A challenging academic program is offered in the lower school where the standards and expectations are set high. Our program aims to cultivate good habits of honesty, dedication, cheerfulness, reverence and perseverance in all tasks. Each year builds upon the Catholic faith in the life of a maturing child and the children's strength in their relationship with Christ. Integral to the child's formation is the development of virtue.

The students receive instruction in the following disciplines:

  • Reading, phonics, manuscript and cursive writing
  • Grammar, spelling and short essay writing
  • Public speaking
  • Saxon mathematics program
  • Science program with experiments
  • History and geography
  • Foreign language study
  • Formation of Christian conscience
  • Religion classes in the Catholic faith
  • Art
  • Physical education
  • Technology
  • Each grade level has curriculum overviews, which give detailed descriptions of the content taught.
