The upper school program provides strong academics, preparing the students for more demanding college preparatory work in high school. The curriculum emphasizes confidence building, critical thinking skills, continued memory development, study skills, proficiency in public speaking, writing, technology and provides opportunities for leadership.

The students are exposed to a variety of electives in the arts and humanities in the upper school, as well as clubs, student government and service projects. The emphasis is on furthering virtue in every circumstance and developing habits that will foster the making of good and faithful choices throughout life. A thorough experience of faith is developed through opportunities of prayer, service and retreats.

The students receive instruction in the following disciplines:

  • Composition, literature and grammar
  • Public speaking and critical thinking skills
  • Foreign language study
  • Saxon math program to include algebra
  • American history, world history, civics and geography
  • Earth, life and physical science
  • Formation of Christian conscience
  • Religion classes in the Catholic faith
  • Music, art, and physical education
  • Each grade level has curriculum overviews, which give detailed descriptions of the content taught.
