The cost of a PCA education is always greater than the cost of
tuition charged at Pacific Crest Academy. To help minimize this gap, Pacific Crest Academy conducts three major fundraising events each year: the Annual Appeal Drive, the Annual Gala and Auction, and an Annual Golf Tournament. The proceeds from these fundraisers assist the school in meeting its general operating expenses, teacher and administrative salaries, scholarship and tuition assistance programs, as well as updating and enhancing academic and technology programs.
Annual Appeal
The Annual Appeal is a yearly appeal to families and friends of Pacific Crest Academy to contribute to the support of the school's operating needs. A financial goal is set based on the current school year's budget, e.g. for 2007-2008 the Annual Appeal goal is $100,000. Each family is given Annual Appeal pledge brochures which they are requested to use and send to their family and friends to obtain support pledges and/or donations for the Annual Appeal. The Participation goal is always set at 100% among our board, faculty, staff and families.
Your gift to the annual appeal helps offset operational expenses so we can continue to:
- Enhance educational programs
- Upgrade technology
- Help control tuition increases
- Retain qualified faculty and staff
Pacific Crest Academy hosts an annual gala event each spring which includes a formal dinner, as well as silent and oral auctions. This is a wonderful opportunity for PCA parents, their families and friends to socialize with each other and, through their generous contributions and auction bids, to raise funds for the school's operating budget.
Annual Golf Tournament
Each year in September, Pacific Crest Academy hosts an annual golf classic. This annual event includes golf, a meal - lunch or dinner, depending on tee time, as well as contests and prizes. This is a great opportunity for our families and friends to get to know each other and enjoy the outdoors, while raising funds to support Catholic education. All are welcome to participate, even if not interested in golfing. The meals are always great and a lot of fun for everyone.
